Animation for early learning

HIPPY Australia helps parents build skills and confidence in their role as their child’s first teacher. HIPPY offers a home-based, early learning and parenting program plus employment pathways through their national network of over 100 sites.

For HIPPY, storytelling is key to connecting families across Australia and building a supportive community. Since partnering with HIPPY in 2016, we’ve produced a range of videos for television broadcast, web promotion and training – all to help families develop a love of learning which will last a lifetime.

Animated welcome video

To help HIPPY onboard families into their new Age 3 program, we created this short video to spark excitement for children and explain what they’ll do and learn during their HIPPY journey.

With our focus clearly on three year old children as our target audience, we designed and produced an inclusive story world which represents diverse geographical and cultural perspectives across Australia.

We partnered with artist Ray Eckermann, who illustrated characters and backgrounds which we brought to life in a budget friendly animation style that sparks delight.

The voices featured in the video are past child participants of the program, adding an extra dimension of authenticity and celebration of the HIPPY network.

Television commercial (TVC)

To help sites recruit families for the program, we created a 30 second TVC for playout across regional network television. We helped HIPPY produce the work, starting with concept development through post-production then managing broadcast compliance and delivery.

First airing in South Australia in late 2020, the broadcast medium and short format helped HIPPY reach and recruit families who rely on television as an important source of news and information within their communities.
